This is a weekend for Grade 8+ playing competence and essentially one per part (with some allowance for divisi amongst flutes, clarinets, and cornets/trumpets so ideally 4 flutes plus piccolo, Eb clarinet plus 6 Bb's, Alto, 2 basses & Bb/Eb contra, 3 cornets and 2 trumpets) as well as AATTB saxophones, bass clef trombones, Bb or bass clef euphonium, bass clef tubas, string bass, timps and percussion (you need your own instruments).
Advanced means a high level of challenge in the music - such pieces as David Bedford's "Sun paints rainbows...", Maslanka's "Child's Garden of Dreams", Christopher Marshall's "L'Homme Armeé" and Roger May's "Sketches from the Great Wall".
John Greaves is an outstanding and inspirational conductor, with great empathy with the players.
Middle Aston offers de-luxe accommodation & cordon bleu food.
